Over the 28 years that Emergenza has been running, there has been many different ways to vote. It has always been a hassle when the crowd is so heavily involved, but finally, there was a breakthrough.
Writing down a bands' name on paper to vote, screaming their names? It never works. To make sure the votes would be legitimate, it was reduced back into a basic science.
In the beginning rounds of the competition, the bands are dependent on a raise of hands from their adoring soon-to-be fans. That is why it is essential for a band to be crowd stimulating, if it wants to get anywhere close to the finals. To ensure the fairness with this method, there is a number of precautions taken.
Any person who attempts to cheat and raise both of their hands while voting, is disqualified from that score and neither votes will be counted. So do not let your fans cheat, it will be bad for your band! There is typically two judges on the side that will calculate and count the number of hands. Since it cannot be completely accurate 100% of the time, if two bands come close in their scores, it will be determined as a tie and both bands will be entered in the next round.
If you enter your band, make sure to tell everyone you know to come and vote for you. Make sure your groupies know the rules!Visit our website, and get to work on informing your community and friends on your band, so they know when to shoot up their hand, while screaming of course.
