HURRICANE LOVE: Sweden's six piece synth-pop combo shine through.

Can somebody tell us please why are Swedish pop bands always so good? Is there something in their water?

When you see a band like Hurricane Love stepping on stage you know that you're going to get some great pop tunes. It must be their look or the fact that they are simply Swedish but before they even played their first note we felt it. We knew it. Obviously they were good and did not disappoint, in fact they were better than we expected. The Malmoe quintet played good tunes, no wait, excellent tunes. They went through synth pop songs like ready made rock stars. On stage confidence and super singing technique and « feel » was “the standard” for them. The unusual two lead singer format (one male and one female) did make it somewhat more interesting. What we felt is that they are ready to take on the big time. They are ready to break through. Anybody out there wanna sign them? Cause if you don't somebody else will. The slow number put in the middle of the set was compelling and it gave me goose bumps. As I felt that, I looked around and saw that everybody was feeling the same way. At this point we know that this band will get far. If they don't, it's criminal. Good luck Hurricane Love, keep flying the flag for Sweden. You have a now a new fan...and I'm not the only one.
