We are now stepping into a very eclectic zone. Double bass, Violin, Didjeridoo, acoustic guitar and drums......The set started off with the singer comfortably sitting on his stool playing not one, but 2 didjeridoos (he outdone the singer from the Dutch band who only had one), he then proceded to play his acoustic guitar. After that, he started singing with a voice so sweet it sounded like an angel has landed.....We were captivated. In comes the violinist, she plays a few notes than the double bass player on next. The drummer came in last and the song had a beautiful crescendo with sounds and beats mixed in a magical way.
A stunning set from this Australian band where arrangements were clearly at the top of their priorities list. The faster numbers were also well received with the crowd showing their appreciation by whistling and cheering (some even screaming and calling for encores in the end). Overall this was a superlative set and we were grateful to see a band that came from such distance. Thank you Rhys Crimmin & the Toms. Thank you for the vibes.
