    TOP STORIES
Give rise to what we remember, what once reigned and ruled our world.
Five, to four, to five, to four, this is our story.

The Monks of Mellonwah are a four piece alternative funk/rock band. The depth and variety of their influences have led to the formation of a unique sound, blending elements of classic blues & rock in Hendrix, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd along with the more modern sounds of The Raconteurs, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Muse. Their first EP; Stars are Out, was recorded in April, 2010, and released to a great deal of praise from industry insiders as well as fans.

Since recording, The Monks of Mellonwah have gone from strength to strength. Whilst enjoying radio play for Swamp Groove and Fire in the Hole, the band have been busy developing an electrifying and atmospheric live act through supporting and headlining at a wide range of respected music venues across Sydney. They now have The Annandale Hotel, Candys Apartment, The World Bar, Manly Fishos, The Lansdowne Hotel amongst others on their resume and are due to play The Metro in September. Their live act has received a huge level of positive feedback which along with their fresh and unique sound has resulted in a steadily growing fan base.

More recently The Monks of Mellonwah have filmed their first music video for their fan favorite Swamp Groove. This is set to be released in September/October 2010.
