    TOP STORIES
MAMA DC, a band of 8, brings a dynamic and flirtatious show on stage.
A lead singer who captivates you with her moves, catchy backing vocals,
phat grooves and groovy samples, a bass tight and deep, funky guitar licks and ripping solos, cool drums and hot percussion.

The sound, is a mix of a lip-smacking blend of ethnic music, pop, rock, funk and soul. MAMA DC is a nice addition to different styles of music festivals, since their sound moves musically through different music genres.

"MAMA DC mixes a chunk of funk with urban grooves. A splash of dance with catchy vocals, ecclectic pop/funk with an ethnic twist. Light & fun, at times dark & moody. Most importantly, MAMA DC touches and swings you in all directions."

The band just released their debute album "Supernatural".
The members will bring songs from their album Supernatural to the stage and add new songs, like Samba, more groovy funk and rock.

MAMA DC is shaped around Leoni Santander (lead vox) and Jeroen van Hoof (bass), former co-founders of the acclaimed world-fusion band Bayuba Cante. Supplemented by the experience and qualities of Samir Bashir on guitar, Hajo Sanders on keys, Wobbe Visser on drums, Emilie Cleuver on percussion and Nancy Neuteboom and Natalie Ilario as backing vocalists.

The songs Bapu and Lelo of the "Supernatural" album has been contributed to the feature film WARBOYS.
MAMA DC's first music/animation clip 'MAMA DC"has been viewed at various film/animation festivals around the world:
HAFF (Holland),Tricky woman Festival (Austria), Anima Mundi (Brazil), Portugal, Turkey and many more.
MAMA DC just won first place in the first round of the Emergenza competion at Winston, Amsterdam.
Their music is being played on the radio in the United States and they just realeased their 'Live-registration' videos.
