TOP STORIES
On the day when the huge earthquake and tsunami hit the Tohoku coast of Japan, SAWAS PHOOL's member were in Hong Kong for their first overseas tour. The show went awesome, people in HK and China were very compassionate and we felt their love and caring heart through out the nights. Needless to say, this experience had influenced a lot on SAWAS PHOOL members. As soon as they came back to Japan, SAWA and Zizi launched a project named, "soul x action" to gathered supplies and foods to the people in Tohoku. Zizi and his musician friend drove up to Tohoku after 2 days drive from Hiroshima to Tokyo where friends and people who joined this project awaited with the supplies they collected in each area. On the 3rd day, the truck reach to the people who was enduring the cold weather and hunger and the project ended in success. We learned a lot through this experience, how people can care each other and work together even if they were just a stranger at the beginning.
Recently they got a chance to be interviewed by the American radio program "Boston Bastard Brigade" and are now hard at work with the current line-up working on new material and performing on the Japanese live house circuit together with friends from multiple back grounds and generations. The band's sound is primarily rock, but they have also performed successfully acoustic shows, allowing them to experiment with Latin American rhythms, and are continually influenced from their fans and their musical tastes. In November, they are planning to have an exciting tour from Tokyo to Osaka together with the pro-wrestler-singer, Ladybeard whom they met during the HK tour. In short, Sawas Phool knows no boundaries and believes in NO CONCEPT.
