    TOP STORIES
ALONA is a smoldering integration of alternative, progressive, indie and folk-rock. The four-piece unit was formed in late 2004 in Washington DC. Currently, the line-up includes; Daniel Jacobson on drums, Brodie Marrow covering bass guitar, Brian Jarboe playing lead guitar and Candice A Crawford fronting the quartet vocally with acoustic guitar duties. Major influences include Chris Cornell, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, and Tool.
Deep within the dark lay your worst fears and inhibitions. They loom from behind, dictating to you through the one-way looking glass mirror. Watching you and your illusions of perfection as you unknowingly expose all that you try to hide from the world - to the world. The little Freudian slips that trip you at your weakest. Those forever illusive intangibles. The reasons behind your wants but cannot haves. The unconscious hunger that draws you near yet sends you running all the same. The undertow that stealthy builds and capsizes you in a sea of denial. But you cannot escape your truth anymore than you can escape your shadow. ALONA, is the sound of your shadow trying to breathe from beneath. The struggle to balance between light and dark, integration and separation, truth and illusion - the perfect you and the you that is true in all of its horror and glory.
