    The Brutes got together as a three-piece band back in late 2003, with "Keebler" Kiefer Grieg, "Tucker" Perris Claeyssens, and Aex Mierjeski. Alex had been playing drums for a while, and kiefer had been singing for a long time also, so kiefer went to costco and bought himself a guitar. We just messed around for a while playing songs we liked, then we thought of putting a band together. We looked for a bassist and right around that time long time friend, Perris, got a bass. We eventually wrote a couple songs together and rehearsed them for a long time. After a while, we wanted another guitarist. Kiefer had met David at school and knew he was an amazing guitarist. So we asked him to join, and he did. Since then, we've been playing and having fun. Check us out on Myspace and come see/vote for us in portland sometime near the end of september.
