    The Ride plays modern hard rock. It has been clear from the start that the sound of The Ride is to embody the band’s common stand. Therefore, it can be said that our current approach is the culmination of the musical visions of the different musicians in the band. We have been influenced by such visionary groups as The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Doors, Incubus and System of a Down to name a few.

    At first, it was mostly cover songs at fraternity parties. Our musical style was rooted in the strong blues/rock tradition of the region we come from. As our skills in making music matured, the cover songs slowly faded out. At the same time, the sound of the band got a bit meaner and a new level of grind was achieved.

    Lately we've been recording new songs and had a few changes in the line up so this year has been way too quiet gig wise. With the new songs and line up in place, this will definitely be remedied in the near future.
