Pericles born 2001 as the mind-child of front man/bass player cri! has survived the up-hill battle that is to be successful in their small hometown scene in the Dominican Republic. The band consist of child hood friends cri, cachapz, palero and recently added in 2006 as second axe man menosgrande. These boys are hard workers with 2 cds under their belts an EP with 6 songs released in 2003 and their first full length "Fuck Your Etiquette" released in 2005/06 which has received great reviews by Web-zines and Magazines: American Music Press, Loud Fast Rules, Wrecktheplace.com, Valepunk.com, among others.
In the five short years the band has achieved to share the stage with the influencial bands Strung Out and Death by Stereo and with the legendary Canadian band Belvedere. They also had the pleasure to tour with the original line-up of the underground new york ska punk band Choking Victim in 2006. Pericles was part of the headliners in the Brasilian version of the warped tour sponsored by Vans called Vans Zona Punk Tour featuring the U.S Bombs and the Ataris.
With only two releases they have managed to sell well over 7,500 copies without the support of a label. Now they find themselves playing localy in the North East Coast of the U.S. waiting for the summer of 2007 to go to california and record what will be their second full length with producer Paul Miner (New Found Glory / Death by Stereo) which will hopefully catch the eye of labels in the USA.
