HARMONIX COLLEGE is a Minsk post-rock quartet that doesn’t need words to tell what is inside of their minds. In every melody they seem to whisper about something important and valuable. The music of Harmonix College immerses itself in the space of emotions, feelings and revelations, makes you dive inside of it and think about important things… 
The band was formed by Viktor Zhuromsky and Dzmitry Aniskou in their hometown Rogachev. Guys started with a few demos and later some of them became singles. Next step was to find the rest of the band members and in 2015 after few tries the final composition of the band was formed. Now Harmonix College is Dzmitry Aniskou, Viktor Zhuromsky, Anton Verenich and Dzmitry Marshyn. All the members are originally from Rogachev, but now they are living and working in Minsk. In 2016, the band became the winner of the “Belarusian Underground Awards” in the nomination “Discovery of the Year”. 

For today band has released 5 singles and now is working on a full length album.

1)You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2018/2019. What made you decide to take part in it? 
We submitted an application without much enthusiasm, but during the competition we became more and more interested in participating. We are so happy to become the winner of the festival in Eastern Europe and now we are going to Germany! 

2) As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind? 
We are happy, confident and ready to make a great show! 

3) What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience? 
The conditions were great, including the organization, the stage equipment and support. It was cool to play on such a big stage, we didn’t have any worries, we just played our set with great pleasure! 


4) What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning? 
Our music helps us to transmit the essence of truth to the audience, which, unfortunately, lose it’s meaning nowadays. But all is not lost, and we believe that the harmony between nature and people, and the inner world of man himself will be established. 

5) Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage? And one which happened in backstage or during the preparation of a show ? 
We have multimedia that supports our performance very well, we launch it on a big screen from a laptop. 2 hours before our performance at the contest finals, the program that launches this video has stopped working. There is not much fun, and we had put a lot of effort to fix that problem asap. Luckily, we played our set with our video and were very relieved that everything turned out as we had planned. 

6) How would you describe your music ? 
The closest musical direction, which can describe our music, is post-rock, but the longer we play, the more we understand that this is far from it. 


7) What are your short to medium term plans after the Emergenza's world final? 
We are planning to release our first full album and go for tour in support of it. Release a video clip and a couple of live videos.
