History

- 1991 A group of musician friends get together and develop an idea.
- 1992 First ever Emergenza festival in Rome. There are 245 people.
- 5 months later there will be 3000.
- An event was born.

- 1993 Emergenza produces the first ever compilation album.
- In ten years Emergenza did 54 compilations both live and studio works.
- 1995 The unmistakeable Emergenza logo was born.

- 1996, 7th of January: The Gibus club in Paris hosts the first every Emergenza concert outside Italy.
- In the French capital there were 113 bands enrolled with 23 gigs (as opposed to 7 gigs forecasted).
- 1997 London Astoria. 2500 people attended the first Emergenza European final.
- 1998 The most exclusive and prestigious clubs invite Emergenza.

- 2001 From Paris to Montreal. The Canadian region of Quebec becomes the first North American stop.
- 2002 There are 5 cities in North America to host Emergenza.
- 2003 Over 700 bands play in 190 gigs organized for the first ever U.S. season.
- 2004 There's 2876 musicans taking part in the States, they join the 16000 European and Canadians counterparts.

- 2005. The North American cities taking part in the Festival are now up to 70.
- 3000 Concerts organized. There are 9000 bands taking part around the world.
- 2006 The festival goes to Australia: Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide the first cities.
- In the same year Emergenza goes to Japan. In Tokio alone more than 200 bands ask to take part.

- Emergenza goes to Eastern Europe: The Chech Republic, Slovakia and Russia.
- In Australia the Festival goes west: Perth is included.
- Emergenza festival is in Auckland, New Zealand
- After the Eastern expansions we are looking at China and Korea as new frontiers.
