Adrenaline is an italian Hard&Heavy band formed in 2017.
Its sound, as the result of the different members' artistic influences, is a balanced mixture of power and melody that melts solid and dynamic Heavy rhythms with scratchy and wide-range vocals.
The project, initially oriented as a cover band of the most famous artists from the Hard Rock international scene, then changes direction and turns to be an original band, with the intention to produce its own material.
Following this stylistic change, during 2017 the band takes part in several festivals and events, getting a good response from the crowd as well as from the music criticism.
At the end of 2017 the band enters the studio to record its first demo tape, that gets the attention of many indipendent record companies and leads the band to make a good live promotion in the most famous live clubs in Tuscany and sorroundings.
In October 2018 a line-up change brings Gabriele Andreucci on drums, adding dynamic and groove to Adrenaline sound as well as a strong contribution to music composition.
At the beginning of 2019 the band takes part in the international music contest “Emergenza Music Festival”, winning the Nation Final and playing in some of the best Italian live clubs such as The Cage Theatre (Livorno), Viper Theatre (Firenze), Orion Club (Roma) and Alcatraz (Milano), and gets the possibility to access the World Final at Taubertal Festival 2019 (Germany).
As a result of the contest winning the band gets the attention of Sliptrick Records, Hard Rock/Heavy metal label with many international locations, that assings it a discographic collaboration.
Here's the current line-up:
Francesco Terranova (Lead Vocals)
Niccolò Passarelli (Guitar/Backing Vocals)
Francesco Gracci (Guitar)
Filippo D'Ercole (Bass/Backing Vocals)
Gabriele Andreucci (Drums)
1) You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2018/2019. What made you decide to take part in it?
We wanted to get in the game, that’s why we decided to take part in Emergenza Festival.
Emergenza gave us the opportunity to perform in some of the best live clubs in our country and also made us work with great professionals, we couldn’t ask for better!
2) As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind?
First of all, we’re hugely delighted and proud of this achievement.
This is the result of an individual and collective growth path undertaken through hard work and passion.
We’re extremely motivated to take part in the World Final, we can’t wait to get on stage and we’re sure it will be another great opportunity to show everyone what we can do.
We’ll let our riffs do the talking!
3) What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience?
The best memory from this experience is without any doubt the moment we were announced as the winner band of the National Final at Orion Club in Rome.
Some of us were litteraly crying with joy, some others were screaming and celebrating, we couldn’t believe it was happening to us.
It was an incredible emotion and we’re sure we’ll keep it forever.
4) What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?
Adrenaline is basically what we want people to feel listening to our music.Adrenaline is what we try to carry on stage with us in every live show we play.
Adrenaline is what we want crowd to experience through our riffs and our sound.
5) Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage? And one which happened in backstage or during the preparation of a show?
We’re pretty maniacal when we prepare our live shows, we take care of every single detail, we leave nothing to chance, but despite of this sometimes incidents occur, and when they do all we can do is find a way to get over them as quickly as we can.
During our show at Alcatraz Club in Milan, our drummer Gabriele was playing a fill and his Crash fell down just before the breakdown, some of us were literally dying laughing, but you know, the show must go on!
Regarding the backstage, we have a funny anecdote.
The night before the Regional Final, our guitar player Niccolò had a premonitory dream about a sort of ritual to do just before getting on stage, that would led us to victory.
We are a bit superstitious, so just before playing our show we did that ritual, which consists in stomping our feet on the ground twice, and than screaming a sort of battle cry.
That night we won, so since then it became our official pre-show ritual.
6) How would you describe your music ?
Our music is basically the gathering point between the influences of each member of the band.
Our roots stem from pure American Hard and Sleaze Rock, modernized and upgraded by huge and modern sounds, pads, backing tracks and revisited by taking elements from other genres such as Heavy Metal, Punk Rock and Metalcore.
We define it as a balanced mixture of power and melody, that melts solid and dynamic heavy rhythms with scratchy and wide-range vocals.
7) What are your short to medium term plans after the Emergenza's world final?
We have a lot of plans and projects, the World Final is a starting point for us, not an end one.
We’ll take some time to write new stuff and then we’ll enter the studio to record an album that will be a sort of “business card”.
We won’t reveal many details, but we’re sure you’re going to see some serious things!
