With a diverse background in acting and singing with what she calls chameleon like ability, Von Dalia is a well rounded artist with a deep history. Her music is melodic, moody and intense. These sounds all come together to create a retro avant garde blend which the artist herself calls ‘Psychedalia Gypsy Soul.’ This type of artist is rare in battle of the bands and seeing them coming forward for these types of events is a nice treat.

Gypsy Soul is also the name of her 1^st EP which is available to fans. Von Dalia has been active on Montreal’s artistic scene for many years now. Whether as an actress, singer or songwriter, she has taken part in a number of festivals, and productions in the area. Being active on the emerging scene of any art is an important way for an artists to get their talent recognized and to build a fan base. Von Dalia is well on her way to being very well known.

While some of her songs have a slightly melancholy feel (ie. Lost) others really show off her storytelling ability (Pay 4 it). This versatility in her talents and how she uses them in her music is very significant as it sets her apart from many other up & coming musicians and band. Von Dalia will be taking part in the first round of the Emergenza Music festival this season and I think this versatility will work very much to her advantage.
