INFORMATION ON THE ROCK FESTIVAL FOR UP & COMING BANDS FOR 2012/2013.
1) Emergenza is the world’s largest and most important festival for up and coming bands. Born in 1991 the festival takes place in 36 countries, 184 cities and 4 continents. In Italy the festival goes from September to June in Montreal
2) Every concert nights consists of 8 bands, each of which plays a 25 minute live set.
3) The backline, technical staff, venue and production are all provided by the organization. Band members must only bring their own instruments.
4) Online enrollment is free. Only once your concert date is confirmed is there a 75 ($) fee, fully reimbursable during the first show based on attendance. There are no other fees or deposits.
5) Emergenza does not believe in the “pay to play”. All bands are reimbursed during the first show, based on attendance.
6) Unlike other such events, with Emergenza there is never an obligation to sell tickets. We are confident that each band puts forth their best efforts in order to deliver a successful show. As a result, we leave each band to be responsible for their own show promo without any impositions or conditions.
7) All bands, which take part in the festival, receive free distribution of their music via iTunes and 35 other major international online music distributors.
8) Each year, some of the best bands from the festival receive an in-studio production (regardless of their positioning in the festival).
9) Each year, some of the best bands from the festival are sent to play shows in various European cities (regardless of their positioning in the festival).
10) In each city there are three rounds of the festival – eliminatory, semi final & final.
11) During the final round, a technical jury chooses the winners. In the first two rounds the winners are chosen by a public vote comprised of:
a) all the musicians who are or have in the past taken part in the festival (they always enjoy free admission to all the shows), and
b) the audience at the shows (who will be purchasing admission tickets).
12) The winner of each city’s final will participate in the national final – all travel & accommodation expenses paid for by the organization.
13) At each final, the best musicians are awarded guitars, amps, drums, cymbals, mics etc.
14) The winners of the national final will play in the International final in Germany – all travel & accommodation expenses paid for by the organization.
16) The winner of the international final will be awarded a professional studio production, international distribution, a promotional campaign in 12 countries and a European tour fully coordinated and sponsored by the organization.
