L’Inco long nights eve...
The last night of quarter finals took place at a little club on Papineau called Café L''Inconditionnel and hosted a pile of bands many of which fell under the age of 18.
This was a Thursday in April, the 26th to be exact and the show was an early starter.
At 6 pm the rock started with Under the Grave powering through a set of metal songs.
Curse of the Slain did the same and the ears began to ring. This club has now got to be known for the acoustics to make your ears bleed.
The Terrorists played some more melodic songs abbreviated by heavier samplings.
Fall Again had a pretty strong showing with their self proclaimed screamo outfit.
A Wasted Sacrifice raised the roar with hardcore musings from the low level stage. Latema repeated and enforced the strength of metal in the Montreal area. The most eclectic and unexpected from all vantages was The Spasmodic Paroxism as they punctuated the evening with instrumental progressive jam rock for everyones enjoyment.
Midwar plowed through more metal and the night was brought to a screeching halt by Books For Banners with some songs with elements of pop, rock, punk, prog and a few other for good measure don’t forget the violin and the female vocalist and that would cover it. All ages all the time Thursday finale for the quarter finals. Ok, Ok, Ok, bring on Club Soda already!
