    GRIT is an alternative metal band from the north suburbs of Chicago. The band formed in 2004 after starting two years earlier with a different lineup and name. Their heavy yet melodic sound quickly made them one of the most popular bands in Northern Illinois and helped them win first place in nearly every battle of the bands they entered. Recently, the band took part in the 95 WIIL ROCK Bandemonium contest, this time taking 2nd place out of 69 bands. GRIT has just begun the production of their debut album which is due out this winter and hope to bring their passion to the ears of all those who love to rock.
