    About Tantrum!

Tantrum, a Long Beach based band, has taken the so-cal local music scene by storm with their unique sound and electrifying live performances. With big dreams of making a place for themselves in the music business, Carrie Lynn (vocals) and Alex Babick (guitar) made the cross-country move from Pittsburgh; leaving behind the only lives they've known, for the lives they’ve always dreamed of.

Carrie, the lyricist of the band, writes about relationships, drug abuse, and other important topics drawing inspiration from both personal experience and the experiences of people close to her. Her vocals have been compared to artists such as Amy Lee of Evanescence and Pat Benatar, but Carrie's style is truly unique.

Alex's voice, however, comes not from his mouth, but from his fingertips. Whether he's playing mellow rhythms or MIND-BLOWING leads, it's always clear that Alex doesn't just play his guitar; his guitar becomes a part of him. His energy on stage is contagious and always entertaining. Alex also operates "Cloud 9 Studios" in Long Beach .

Amy McDaniel (drums) has been playing for about 10 years. She enjoys playing a wide range of music styles and is always eager to better her skills and learn something new. Her major musical influences are Neil Pert of Rush and John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. (Amy always has to compete with the guys).

Angie McIntyre (bass) has her own unique style that won over Tantrum immediately. Her dedication and enthusiasm keep the band pushing forward.

Together, Tantrum lives and breathes music. They've played many venues such as "House of Blues" and "The Whiskey a go-go". Whether it's a small hometown crowd or a big name venue, Tantrum wins their audience over every time!
