The multi-faceted funk ensemble Entropy, creates original urban music that inspires life, celebrates diversity, and perpetuates all things funky. In a live setting, Entropy showcases high-energy sets of hip-hop cuts, R&B melodies, layered instrumental compositions, and the straight-ahead, uncut funk from which the band expands to create a unique musical experience with each performance.

Influenced by the traditions of James Brown, Parliament/Funkadelic, Prince, Eric B. & Rakim, and countless others, Entropy remains dedicated to bringing potent live performances and expanding themselves as recording artists for an increasing fan-base. Entropy has shared the stage and collaborated with a wide array of local, regional, and national talent, including Kofi Burbridge, Vinyl, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Carlos Washington & Giant People, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, DJ Le Spam & the Spam Allstars, Dub Is a Weapon, GFE, Ulu, The Greyhounds, Big Fuzz, Yonrico Scott Band, Jeff Sipe & Apartment Projects, Squat, and Genetic.

Entropy released their debut studio album [Live+Rebel+Funk+Love] in September of 2004. Recorded at Elixir Studios in Athens, GA, the album is written and produced by Entropy, and features 14 original tracks and guest performances by over 10 musicians and vocalists including Kofi Burbridge of Derek Trucks Band on flute, Genetic on turntables and Jailan Jagne on saxophone. LIVE+REBEL+FUNK+LOVE has received critical acclaim since its release, and Entropy plans to tour in support of the album in 2005.
