But…….
The band really took off in January 2006, when don’t mind us acquired a new lead guitarist (Cameron Edwards) & bass player (Aaron Forster).
“We invited Cameron (Lead) & Aaron (Bass) to the rehearsal studios one afternoon in January to try out for dontmindus and just started jamming it out – in that moment we wrote our first song. Once we stopped playing, we all just stood there dumbfounded, as we could not believe how it all just came together completely unrehearsed – this was the first time Dane & I had met these guys !. Right at that moment we knew we were onto a good thing” – Aaron Smith
Wasting no time at all, dontmindus hit the rehearsal studios to write more songs, in order to get a set together to get out there & do some live shows.
The band recorded their first demo shortly after at a mates recording studio (Polar Studios) in McMaster’s Beach, Central Coast NSW.
Since recording their demo, dontmindus have been performing throughout Newcastle, Sydney & the NSW Central Coast, accumulating a fan base comprising of mates, family & people who have just seen their performances along the way.
You will find dontmindus rockin venues throughout NSW or back in rehearsal studio’s writing & rehearsing their original songs.
