1) You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2017/2018. What made you decide to take part in it?
We wanted to take the chance to play as many gigs as possible. Another important thing was the possibility to play a showcase in front of music industry people in Berlin. That was very exciting.
2) As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind?
We are pumped, proud and excited for a big adventure!
3) What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience?
It was definitely the semi final at Luxor Cologne. The crowd there was so on fire. The support was awesome and the victory was very unexpected.
4) What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?
Before actually having the name as a band we wrote a song called „Petty Things“. From time to time we just thought that it sounds great and just fits our overall style and sound.
5) If you had to choose a famous song that represents your band...which one would it be?
Imagine Dragons - Believer. That’s our number one song for motivation at the moment.
6) Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage? And one which happened in backstage or during the preparation of a show?
One time, we played a gig at a small pub here in Germany. Arriving there we realized that all of the people in the pub wanted to celebrate carnival and were drunk as fuck. Then we played our laid back acoustic set while one of our guitar players had the flue and a very high fever. The crowd entered the stage and went so crazy.
7) How would you describe your music?
We would call it guitar pop with strong beats, electronic influences and memorable hooks.
8) Before you go on stage, do you have a ritual or a good luck charm that goes everywhere with you?
We always sing and harmonize the chorus of our song „Petty Things“. It gives us good feelings. And our drummer always wears the same underwear.
9) What is your dream gig?
Sell out a huge stadium where we play as the headliner and all of the people only want so see us.
10) What can audiences expect from one of your live performances?
Energy, fun, very catchy songs and overall good vibes.
11) If you could invite a band or an artist at your party, dead or alive, who would it be?
The Beatles. But they have to arrive in black and white with their fancy haircuts from the early days.
12) What are your short to medium term plans after the international final?
Currently we are producing new music that we would love to publish this year. And we want to play as many live gigs as possible. Maybe even a booking agency that helps with that.
13) What inspires you when you are composing (musical inspirations or others) ?
Our own, different musical experiences and influences. Songs that are stuck in our heads. Experiences that we have in our everyday life. And especially the place that surrounds us, our home.
14) What question did I forget?
We can’t think of any. You did a good job so far.
15) Why do you think you deserve to win the 2018 Festival edition?
We will see if we deserve it, how our gig will turn out and how the people will react to us as a band. We think that we definitely have the potential to do so. Let’s find out.
