1) You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2017/2018. What made you decide to take part in it?
We wanted to take part because we want to share our music with not only people in The Netherlands and Cape Verde but also the rest of the world and this was a good opportunity to do so.
2) As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind?
Our state of mind is even though we want to win the Emergenza Festival and focus on that, we must even more enjoy this journey and all the experiences along the way.
3) What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience?
When I saw rock fans enjoying our music. We were really wondering at first if the audience would even want to hear our music. Because most of the other bands were rock/metal bands.
4) What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?
I’m the lead singer and my partner Nuny wanted to stay in the background so we decided to name the band after me. Its a catchy name and easy to remember.
5) If you had to choose a famous song that represents your band...which one would it be?
Cesaria Evora – Sodade
6) Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage? And one which happened in backstage or during the preparation of a show?
When they called us on stage during Emergenza Netherlands, because we won and I didnt hear that we won and found out on stage and first thing I said when I got the mic was "Sh*t Ohh F*ck!". Things that happens backstage I cant tell out loud.
7) How would you describe your music?
It’s CapeVerdean music mixed with jazz, samba, bossanova, reggae and pop.
8) Before you go on stage, do you have a ritual or a good luck charm that goes everywhere with you?
Before I go on stage I hugg my team and thank them one by one for their input.
9) What is your dream gig?
North Sea Jazz Festival.
10) What can audiences expect from one of your live performances?
They should go prepared to dance. They will dance automatically if they want it or not lol.
11) If you could invite a band or an artist at your party, dead or alive, who would it be?

12) What are your short to medium term plans after the international final?
Work on our album and tour.
13) What inspires you when you are composing (musical inspirations or others)?
Our motherland, Our experiences in live, The people around us.
14) What question did I forget?
Why did we choose to make world Music?
Because CapeVerdean Music is World Music. And we think CapeVerdean music should get more recognition. And we wanted to bring our input too. Let the world hear the lovely sounds of Cape Verde.
15) Why do you think you deserve to win the 2018 Festival edition?
Because we’re bringing something different to the table. We have worked so hard to make quality music. Every song of ours has a story and we give a great show. We have a great live band. All the musicians are very good at what they do and I can sing pretty well too If I may say.
