The Montreal Grand Finale—historically one of the most spectacular and exciting finals in the whole Emergenza Festival—will take place this Sunday, June 1^st.

Hosting this amazing event is prestigious venue The Olympia. Located on Sainte- Catherine Street, it’s one of the most alluring multi-use venues in Montreal, catering to anything from conferences to rock concerts.

Sharing the stage will be 20 of the very best bands in Canada—bands that worked hard to earn their post in the finals by battling it out with hundreds of other unsigned bands in the 2013/14 festival season. It will be a long night chock full of stellar performances that will keep us on the edge of our seats until the name of the winning band is finally revealed at the end of the evening. That same band will then go on to represent their country at the world final of Emergenza at Taubertal Open Air Festival in Rothenburg Ob der Tauber in Germany—that’s this August 8^th, 9^th and 10^th !

Judging the performances and determining the top band of the night will be four impressive jurors:

Albert Chambers - songwriter who has collaborated with big names such as Simple Plan, Wyclef Jean, Dream Theater, Moist, David Usher, Corey Heart, and Debbie Gibson;

Julia Kedzierski - assistant programmer for Radio NRJ and Chom 97.7 FM;

Julien Delpy - Vice President of Emergenza Festival, directly from France;

Gilles Dicaire – Manager of Steve’s Music, Montreal.

So, once again the stage is set for June 1st at The Olympia in Montreal in hopes of finding yet another Canadian band worthy of playing the great Taubertal Open Air Festival!
