The Countdown to the First Semi-Final of the Season Begins!

There are less than 2 days left until the 1st semi-final of the season at Club Soda in Montreal!

The stage is set at the legendary Club Soda in Montreal where the bands will compete in the first semi-final of the season!
It all goes down on November 10th when nine fantastic bands from all sorts of genres are scheduled to play for their chance to make it to the Emergenza finals! Here’s a short preview of what’s in store:

The first to hit the stage at 18:30 are Wasted Legacy. Founded in 2011, this band twists their hard-hitting musical influences – including bands like Megadeth – into what they like to call mutant rock. They say panties may go flying on stage, so be sure to bring an extra pair. They’ve got a few tricks up their sleeves for the show – the only sure thing is that it’s going to be heavy!

To lighten things up a bit, we’ve got the indie rock of Mr. Fox who are scheduled to come on stage at 19:00. This young four-piece can’t wait to blow your minds with their original, alternative tunes. With them, it’s going to be a guaranteed, high-energy performance, complete with newly written songs that they plan to debut on stage. You won’t want to miss out!

To get a break from all that killer rock and roll, we’re switching it up with Yellow JAAM. At 19:30 this band will bring brilliant pop – their unique sound inspired by many different genres, and yet always bound by the sweet vocals of the singer. They say they’re planning to put on the best performance of their careers so far, incorporating brand new songs that you’ve got to hear for yourselves!

The rock returns at 20:00 with the performance of progressive metal band Maestrium. As always, they promise you “a strong, heavy and energetic experience”… so you better start getting pumped up for their show!

At 20:30 we switch it up again, this time surfing the pop-folk wave of Current Sea. Formed in 2012, this group mixes various styles from rock, pop and folk in order to create a unique blend of original tunes filled with incredible harmonies. It’s going to be a one of a kind performance. Don’t miss out!

We’re still riding the folk music wave with Clouds Over Sea who come on at 21:00. Mixing their influences from bands like Mumford and Sons as well as City and Colour, these young musicians create original tracks accompanied by soft vocals… they’ll make you float on a cloud with their relaxed, charming vibe.

Indie rock makes its come back with the music of Them Dry Bones who hit the stage at 21:30. Their unique brand of chilled-out alternative rock is an interesting contrast to most indie bands on the radio nowadays. Come down and give them a listen for yourselves!

At 22:00 the Carlos Candido Band will wrap up the hard rocking portion of the show. Made up of singer-songwriter Carlos Candido and his band, these guys will put on a classic indie rock performance accompanied by the singer’s powerful voice. You won’t want to miss their original set.

Closing the show at 22:30 are FunkFouSka. This five-piece band plan to totally transform the atmosphere of the club, putting on a performance to top even their last one at O Patros Vys, complete with a new set of songs. So stay tuned for them!

It’s going to be an unforgettable night of live, local music for this semi-final – and the stakes are high! Emergenza would like to say a big “Good luck!” to all the bands that are getting ready to lay it all on the line in a chance at getting to the Emergenza finals.

Come out and support these bands at Club Soda on Sunday, November 10th. The first band goes on at 18:30 – we’ll see you when the doors open!
