Let’s start from the beginning so that you, my dear readers don’t get confused (or think that we just give prizes out without firmly believing the band deserves it). For the next three days we will be telling you about The Emergenza International final. 

Yes! The rock and roll olympics are here. Like every year, we have a ton of amazing bands taking part in the biggest and most incredible gig for unsigned bands: The Emergenza international festival at the Taubertal festival in Germany.

Why Germany you may ask......Are you serious? are you really going to ask why we put 19 of the world’s best unsigned bands on the same bill as Biffy Clyro, Editors, Bad religion, Skunk Anansie, Chase & Status and many others in a festival that is organized so well that if it were a wrist watch it would be a rolex?....come on! Let’s face it, Germans are really the best at organizing festivals and this is a bloody good “stereotype label” to have (says so an Australian/englishman).

So starting today,  Friday 9th of August we are going to be rolling in the grass in front of the stage (or the side depending on the band and if security guards don’t beat us up) along with 30000 people. The Taubertal festival is not only a greatly organized festival but also an incredible excuse to have a good time watching some of the planet’s biggest headliners and unsigned gems. 

Of course the unsigned gems we do supply. That’s part of the game. Bands from as far as Australia, Japan, Canada, Sweden and Italy will be competing with bands from Russia, Turkey, Spain, France and Germany......did we leave some country out?? must have but the point is that we scour the globe out there to get the best bands that can represent each country. 

Every single band will play a set on a huge stage and as well as playing for a bunch of drunk Germans dancing around (no stereotypes here) they will be judged by some of the music business’s most respected and influential players. Every band and individual player will also be in the running for great prizes worth thousands and thousands of pounds....

and euros.....and yen...and turkish liras.....and dollars from different countries....ok ok, you get the message, I’m losing track here. 

The important thing is that you can picture in your mind how incredible this opportunity is for each band and how this will be a truly extraordinary experience for each musician to be mixing with other musicians from around the world and socialize by drinking and chatting. This is the real value of the festival!.....the party atmosphere. So stick around for the next 3 days, roll in the mud for us as we will bring an up to the minute real-time experience....Every single concert reviewed right here!.....in every single language!!!
