FROM GERMANY TO CANADA: BERLIN BAND MAKES WAVES IN MONTREAL

EMERGENZA FESTIVAL SENDS TERRIFIC BAND TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD FOR TOP MONTREAL GIG!

Yes people, the 24th of March is now officially an historical date for all of us involved. A date that made history already. It will never disappear from our brains. NEVER OUT, The Female fronted band from Berlin has flown 5800 Kilometres for a gig.

You may ask, what posessed six people to go across the Atlantic ocean to play a gig? The answer is simple: The montreal Emergenza concert at O Patro Vys. 10 hour flight? Hours spent in airports? Yes, all worthwile, because this great band was not only a special guest but they were The incredible superstar guests in a town where English nor German is spoken practically.

The two cities have a lot in common. They both have great beer but mostly they love great music! Montreal welcomed these six rock-pop meisters with open arms. The crowd was not only happy to have them (as most Canadians are open minded and curious about any new band I might add) but they cheered and made noise for these young Germans. So much so, that congratulations e-mails started pouring in and still are. The performance was tight, the vocals were spot on and the vibe they created was incredible. Lead singer Leona Heine, oozes with confidence and uses her powerful voice to communicate well with the audience.

The band's performance was scarily perfect (Insert stereotype jokes about German perfection here please) but they played with such enjoyment it rubbed off on the Quebequoise audience. Songs with catchy hooks, vibrant energy and skillful playing made this one of the most enjoybale 'special guests events' in years.

The name is on everybody's lips now in Montreal. NEVER OUT played a cracking gig at O Patro Vys and now we hope that we get a Montreal band will play in Berlin.....Canada any takers?
