Having come together just this spring, Los Duos is just what you might expect based on the name, but equally prepared to deliver the unexpected when it comes to their music. Combining the distinctive musical sounds of a ukulele, bouzouki, bass drum and a guitar and hi-hat tambourine, Los Duos bring us a sound that is as unique as their individual influences. The acoustic duo has been working hard at promoting their music and is currently working on a LP of their own which they hope to launch soon and promote by playing as many live shows as they can get. In their plans are festival, collaborative concerts and battle of the band events.
While only a small sampling of their music is available online for the time being, they are hard at work putting in place all of the tools that any emerging band needs to succeed first on the local scene and eventually on the large scale. With plans to launch a full You Tube channel as well as their own website, you can be certain the boys are keeping busy. In the sample that is available, it’s clear their sound is something new and fresh. Not just because they are using instruments seldom encountered on the local music scene but because they are combining those with a folksy rock sound that has the distinctive quality of making the audience get up and dance.
