Founded just earlier this year, Eternal Closure appears to have made their mark on Montreal’s local, emerging metal scene. They’ve already played a number of shows at many well known venues and are working hard at getting their EP ready for release in the coming weeks. For a band who’s only several months old, these are pretty good accomplishments and testify to the determination of the four musicians who make up Eternal Closure. In July, these talented lads were chosen our of 40 band to perform in a live, open air event in Montreal, showcasing talented up & coming bands.
They want their band to succeed and music to be heard – and seem to be doing everything right to make that happen. The band’s Facebook page exemplifies the use of social media to promote your band very well. There is so much buzz about each of their shows, it’s impossible to miss. They also take each opportunity to remind fans about important events – such as the upcoming album! Recently the band has enrolled in the Emergenza Music Festival, the international music event for local bands. Performing in this showcase will give them the opportunity to play in some of Montreal’s premiere venues and a chance to perform in Germany at the festival’s international final.
With unique elements in their music such as four vocals, it’s no surprise Eternal Closure has received so much attention. Their guitar tracks are energetic, well put together and follow each other very well. The drummer is in perfect tune with the rest of the band and between him and the vocalist; they accentuate the right moments in each song. While most of the vocals are done in the traditional metal ‘growl’, as a refreshing treat, at various intervals in the music, (i.e. in the song Apathy) there is some singing which allows for the vocalist to display his versatility and each band member to take a starring role in the performance.
