Pasko Solo & The Hunters will find you with their music and draw your in.

Seasoned musicians and songwriters play their hears out and produce sounds that speak volumes.

A band very active on Montreal’s local music scene, Pasko Solo & The Hunters have come together in their current make up just a few short months ago. These three seasoned musicians have all been part of other musical projects throughout their careers, but came together for this one partly through fate and partly through determination to have only the most talented musicians involved. In August the band recorded an album, which fans can listen to on the band’s website.

In their short time together, these musicians have made a commitment to the music, putting together a number of well written, well arranged pieces and to getting it out the masses. They have played a number of battle of the bands events in the Montreal area and in January will be taking part in the largest such event – the Emergenza International Music Festival. The band’s Facebook profile boasts an impressive promotional poster for this show, a big sign of how committed they are to promoting their band.

The vocals are, IMHO the strength of this ensemble. Without a doubt the music that is behind the singer is strong, powerful and poignant but it’s his voice that brings the piece alive. Whether he sings in English or in French as in Empire, he commands the song and draws the listener in. The vocal is clear, each word enunciated and with the talented musicians on bass and drum, the pieces fall flawlessly from their instruments. Hunter Will is the piece that stayed with me the most as it features some impressive guitar solos, especially in the intro and is exemplary of the band’s style. I look forward to catching them live at the O Patro Vys.
