Originating from across the continent, the musicians of Jade House are a talented bunch with a great roster or venues and events played. These ambitious, passionate musicians managed to pack three shows into just one weekend – that’s what I would call a love for your art – mixed with a healthy amount of desire to promote and popularize your band. Bringing together a unique combination of punk’n’blues, Jade House has spent the last two years wowing crowds across the province.
Since their inception, the band has taken part in a number of local music events and is now taking the next step in battle of the bands- they are in talks to take part in the 2013 edition of the Emergenza International Music Festival. This will give them an opportunity to continue their rounds of the top venues in Montreal as Emergenza boasts concerts at some of the city’s premiere venues such as Club Soda and L’Olympia – venues often coveted by local up & coming bands.
In the video clip for Valley Girl, you can hear distinguishable guitar and bass riffs which put them in line with the ‘blues’ part of their music. In addition, seeing them play live, it’s obvious they know how to have a good time with their music. Dear Human, one of the recorded songs you can listen to shows a different side of Jade House. A more melodic song with a very different tempo its emphasis is on the keys and the vocalist, a combination which works very well in this style.
