Mass Klout, and lots of it, even with no lyrics and vocals, they’ve got it!

Musicians who know their instruments well and use them even better create some powerful and memorable pieces.

Instrumental bands are often the hidden treasures you uncover attending international battle of the band type events. Even though they are rare, and not everyone can do it successfully, an instrumental ensemble is usually a soothing delicacy for the ears. Without having to listen in and try to follow the story told by the words in the songs of most bands, Mass Klout allows the music to speak for itself, all you have to do is close your eyes and listen to the flow of the instruments as they set the tone and follow each other.

Mass Klout will be taking the stage in the first round of the Emergenza Festival in Montreal on November 24th.  Not having to write lyrics has allowed these guys to invest their time in developing some pretty kick-butt imagery and graphics. A simple band search on Google allowed me to access their music and corresponding YouTube video. Each song as a unique imagery associate with and looking at the image and listening to the song, it’s clear to see how they jive just so.

It will be great to see these guys play live, to gage how the crowd feeds off of their powerful style. Their music is very energetic and each musician has a moment in the spotlight in each song. I particularly enjoyed the musical and graphic combination of Charger. The distinct hit of every drum behind the overlay of guitar is very well mastered and powerful. This will be a live show not to be missed!
