Five young men came together in their school’s hallways and immediately recognized a common goal they share – to make music that will change people’s lives. While this is an ambitious goal, their passion and commitment to their music cannot be denied. This is quite evident in their style, they way the present themselves and how well they portray the alternative/indie rock scene of which they are without a doubt a part.
For being as young as they are, they managed to put on one kick butt show at L’Alize in the first round of the Emergenza Festival. They also have a very professional looking music video for their song Nuclear Peace. What better way to make the break form up & coming musicians and indie band to serious performers then by treating yourselves as such. The music video as well as their strong social media presence gives the vibe that they are for real, and here to stay.
The Envoys, in their own words have said they’d like to change the world. They stay true to their ideal with song titles like Nuclear Peace. The songwriting is quite provocative and the each instrument has a very distinct role in the piece. The vocalist is very talented and his band lays the perfect background for him to exhibit his skill against. The addition of the keyboards fits very well with the style and presents some interesting solo interludes. Overall a very solid effort.
