Founded by two brothers each with his own passion for music, Mettlesom is a powerful trash metal band from Montreal. Only somewhat new on Montreal’s live music scene, these brothers, joined by a two other members have taken their band to some great heights in a short time. Just this past June, they played at L’Olympia, one of Montreal’s top venues for Emergenza’s final.

With a very professional band website and well put together pages these guys are more then just good musicians. They are good at getting their band name out there, in a well thought out band marketing process. I was very impressed with the degree of detail on their site, which includes an individual bio for each of their members.

In the somewhat classic style of this genre, these guys bring to the stage (and the airwaves) strong melodic guitar riffs interlaced with some aggressive vocals and a great rhythm section. Kill The Road starts with one such fine combination, and even a motorcycle roar partway through. Quite original, especially when coupled with the vocals which flow naturally from the music.
