    HOT ROCK IN MONTREAL!

Here’s what happened last week at L’Alizé

Frosty Friday The name of the band was Spasmodic Paroxism, progressive exciting and inventive. These youngsters have a lot of success waiting in the wings. Turn Right on Red made good use of the stage and the system rocking hard songs for the second act of the night. Dislexy was another impressive progressive rock band who sustained the buzz of the attendees Friday night. Grand Life celebrated their grand performance with creative rock tunes and great vocal work. Bazarium was next and brought Franco-pop to life on stage. The evening was rounded out by The Cranes, who are just about to produce their latest dvd project, always a strong rock band who bring new material year after year. Slippery Saturday Consortium loaded the stage with technology and proceeded to meander through instrumental tunes accented by turntable scratching and drum flourishes, all while dressed in freaky masks. Endings Without Stories made emotional strides and blazing songs look difficult to perform, while packing the stage with style and attitude. Jebus played hard rocking songs and included lyrics about herpies and loves lost. Space Pact came ready and layed down alternative metal sounds with straining vocals. Wicked Star did not fail to impress with loud crunching guitars and this brought out the weekends famous “Lady Dancer” to the floor to rock out. Tomorrows World Screen screamed and thrashed though loud songs to a quiet audience. The last band of the night, Dekesse impressed every last audience member with stereo wired guitar and extravagant and elaborate keyboard accompaniment tres tres fort!! Ok that’s it my hands are cold its -25 degrees.
