Hailing from Moonee Valley, Rainbird consists of members Michael Cooney (guitar, vocals), Tom Cosgriff (drums) Wilson Hede (bass) and Kon Mrnjaus (guitar). The release of Rainbird’s debut EP marks as the years most highly anticipated releases for an independent band in the Moonee Valley region. The band’s self titled EP captures a unique blend of both melodic beauty and spine-bending progressive rock.
