FOUR MUSICIANS TRYING TO MAKE IT IN HICKTOWN, USA.....If one were asked to describe the band Fight the Flow in less than ten words, the preceding is possibly the most effective sentence out there; or at least the best one this writer can think of. Fight the Flow was formed by Dave P., Mike L., and Karter S. in August of 2007 in the small town of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania. The members of Fight the Flow were never particularly fond of school, mainly because it was filled with hicks, jocks, and douche-bags (this excludes all fight the flow fans, of course). They turned to their music to escape from the ugly world that they lived in. They began by writing short, simple punk songs with very stupid lyrics. They also played covers by bands like Blink 182, Sum 41, and Switchfoot. However, the members of Fight the Flow all agreed that they didn't want to become just your typical pop-punk band. As they continued improving on their song writing abilities, their original songs got increasingly better. Fight the Flow made its first appearance as a band on January 5th, 2008. The show was a huge success, and launched the band into super-stardom! Well, not really, but they did gain a good number of fans........ Fight the Flow is currently in the process of writing songs, planning shows, looking for a recording studio (and money to pay for it!), and making T-shirts! If you want to hear more from Fight the Flow, simply come to their next show!!!
