They Don’t Call Themselves Mindblowing for No Reason

The debut, self-titled album from Padua band Mindblowing will do exactly what its title says

Super melodic. Power grunge. Post-hardcore… all rolled into one and you have Padua band Mindblowing. Inspired originally by two songs that were this band’s warhorses when they were just starting out as a cover band—"The Pretender" by Foo Fighters and "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars—you can already imagine what kind of power comes out of their amps. Edgy, powerful, grunge inspired sound, complimented by an ear for the uber melodic. Their self-titled, ten-song album Mindblowing is a total running start for this band. On it, perfectly executed vocals and anthem style chanting like in the song “New Life” add a stadium feel to their sound; “Lady Love Killer” showcases their hearts definitely lie in grunge music; and the total standout “Last Revolution” drives the point home that this band knows how to write songs that stick. The current line up of Mindblowing features founding members Enrico Baldan on vocals and Andrea Bettella on lead guitar, with the addition of Federico Praticò on rhythm guitar, Alessandro Pretato on bass, and Marco Perviero on drums. Highlights of their career so far are opening up for Rumatera at Vigorock in 2013—their first big break—and of course Emergenza Festival Italia where they put on a killer set in Padua this year. Tune into Emergenza.net for more info on this incredible up and coming band.
