    Wicked Debut Release from NEURO

The eight-track debut release from Florence band NEURO is as psychotic as its name

The eight-track, self-titled album from Florentine band NEURO is the epitome of raw, unapologetic rock and roll. NEURO pours pure electric energy into their distorted, minimalist instrumentation. Their edgy songs, woven with dark thematic matter about desperation, gives them that back-up-against-the-wall punk rock vibe—perfect for any lover of dark, metal, hardcore and punk music. It’s not hard to imagine how they got their name in track three “Veleno e Dolore” (“Poison and Pain”), which features a mental overlay of voices that sound like schitzophrenic voices screaming in your head. The energetic overdrive riff in “Fresca e Calma” sucks you in before the manic, fact-paced vocals smash you in-your-face. High-energy. NEURO was recorded and mixed at Labella Studio outside of Florence by Matteo Guasti. All of the pieces are in Italian and were jointly written by all four members of the band, who are Alberto and Stefano on guitar, Samuele on the bass, Paolo on the drums and Francesco on vocals. They don’t call themselves NEURO for no reason—these guys are crazy on stage! They just played their hearts out in Emergenza Festival Italia. Find out more about the band at Emergenza.net.
