    Latest Full-Length Release by T.O.C.

Drama, whimsy and rock and roll from the new album ‘Fiaba di un sognatore’ by Turin singer songwriter T.O.C.

The title of the latest release by T.O.C., Fiaba di un sognatore, illustrates exactly what the band is all about: whimsy and big dreams from a dramatic rock singer protagonist—T.O.C. is the stage name and solo project of singer songwriter and guitarist Marco Bongiovanni, who’s joined on stage by Luca Marchetti on electric guitar, Marco Volpi on acoustic guitar, Vincenzo Moscatello on bass and Federico Giovanniello on percussion. The eclectic tone of the new album is established in the intro with a gritty electric guitar version of a dramatic, quasi-Ennio Morricone style riff followed by hair metal shredding which dissolves into a cacophony of human voices in odd Italian accents. T.O.C. has a signature operatic approach in his vocals, similar in attitude to, but much cruder than, Meatloaf, circa “Bat Out of Hell” (famous for strutting the stage in a tux, much like T.O.C. himself, who is known to grace the stage in full coat tails). In terms of his song structure and approach he may be likened to a masculine, electric guitar heavy version of singer songwriter Tori Amos. The album was recorded at NANHOUSE STUDIO in Airasca, Italy and can be streamed in its entirety on the T.O.C. Bandcamp page. Throughout the last calendar year the band has played numerous concerts and even won the Aclin Rock Festival in Cuneo as best band with the best singer. Recently T.O.C. took his dramatic stage act to The Barrio in Turin for Emergenza Festival Italia, making it all the way to the semifinals. It was a stellar performance. Check into Emergenza.net for more news on T.O.C.
