    Debut Release from Ceaseless Within

Turin metalcore band Ceaseless Within lets their energy explode in their debut EP 'Word'

When it came to what kind of music they wanted to make, the guys in Ceaseless Within didn’t beat around the bush like so many young bands. They knew exactly what they wanted to play: metalcore inspired by bands like Trivium, Sylosis, and Machine Head. After about a year of looking, drummer Lorenzo “Spada” Spadaro and current front man Patrick Ravaglia joined the founding members of Ceaseless Within, guitarists Simone Visconti and Filippo Peinetti, and bassist Edoardo Becchi. Once the lineup was solidified they went right to work on original material. The name "Ceaseless Within" comes from a shared feeling among the guys in the band of constant explosion and inspiration, above and beyond the limitations imposed by reality, and this is exactly the energy the band captures on their debut release. The new EP Word is a perfect example of when genre restrictions can be a good thing. Sticking to a predictable format allows the musicians to concentrate on sound, technique, and execution. All of the typical metalcore elements, deep screaming vocals, clean melodic vocals, 100 mph double bass pedal, and breakneck lead guitar, are present and perfectly executed. But don’t think the band stays away from innovation. The way they play with the vocals, particularly in title track “Word”, doubling them, whispering, and constantly varying the rhythm, shows the band has their eye on the future. Word was recorded at Pan Studio by Fabrizio Panebarco, and was released in June of last year. They’ve been in the studio lately laying down even more new material, but took a break to rock seriously hard for Emergenza Festival Italia in Turin garnering the second most votes of the night. Stay tuned to Emergenza.net for more news on Ceaseless Within.
