'Postcards' from I Fiori di Cadillac

I Fiori di Cadillac go on a psychedelic pop rock journey on their new album and send us ‘Cartoline’

Visionary young rockers I Fiori di Cadillac from Salerno have just released the result of two intense years of work in the rehearsal studio—debut album Cartoline (Postcards) out on Forears Records. Released just last October, the new album is already making huge waves in the music community, being reviewed in highly circulated magazines and all over the web. These five talented musicians describe themselves as lost in sonority, but the truth is they very confidently carve out their own musical space. Essentially they work with a pop rock formula, so the music is accessible to just about anyone, but I Fiori di Cadillac play with just enough psychedelia to please the more refined listener. Perfect mix of reverb and synth sounds to create a spacey atmosphere, but never enough to lose the song structure within. The grab at your gut intensity of some of their slower, melancholy songs recalls bands like Radiohead, who love to put their audience on an edgy, emotional ride. Once you see the video for the first single “Il Ministero dell'Amore” off the new full-length album, it becomes obvious I Fiori di Cadillac are not your standard unknown band. The high-quality production offers a surprising interpretation of the song’s esoteric lyrics and adds a convincing natural backdrop for the band’s effects-heavy sound. Cartoline is definitely an album every lover of rock should listen to. I Fiori di Cadillac are: Louis Salvio on vocals, guitar, piano; Francis Passannante on synth and backing vocals; Gianmario Galano on guitar; Domenico Volzone on bass; Valerio Vicinanza on drums. They take their original sound to the stage at Mumble Rumble in Salerno in just a few short days for the regional finals of Emergenza Festival Italia. Stick around for more show info at Emergenza.net. You are not going to want to miss out.
