    ‘Break All Chains’ from PLEONEXIA

The upcoming debut album ‘Break All Chains’ from metal band Pleonexia is an explosion for the ears and for the soul

The kick ass debut album Break All Chains from Turin band Pleonexia is due to hit shelves this spring. The balls-to-the wall full-length release comes via German Record label Pure Steel—and the guys in the band definitely fit right in at Pure Steel who are known for their terrifying mix of anything from black to death to gothic and hardcore metal artists. Pleonexia falls into a category of what they like to call philosophic metal—a mixture of hard rock and epic 80’s heavy metal with texts that take on philosophical themes. The new album is a bleak landscape of blitzing symphonic metal that definitely works its way into the darkest crevices of your mind. The band takes their name from the Greek word pleonexia meaning greed… but it’s meant in a positive sense. Their message is about never passively accepting your position in life and always striving to exceed your limitations, characterized in the hard rocking closing track on the album “We Just Want More”. Check out the official video for the title track “Break All Chains”, which despite being filmed in the low-key atmosphere of the recording studio gives you a good idea of the epic, no holds barred live this band puts on. Pleonexia are founding member Michele Da Pila on vocals, guitars, and keyboard; Lorenzo Luca on keyboards; Federico Fondrini on guitar and backing vocals; Stefano Clara on drums and backing vocals; Leonardo Manoiero on guitar and backing vocals; and Davide Arneri on bass and backing vocals. They recently rocked the stage at The Barrio in Turin, wielding their battle-axes for Emergenza Festival Italia. It was a face-melting metal performance. Check back in at Emergenza.net to read about the show.
