Going on a Voyage with HopeN’Liberty

This pop rock band from Padua, Italy takes you on a voyage on their latest full-length album entitled 'Odyssey'

The new album by HopeN’Liberty is a voyage in power pop space. With its soaring melodies, overdriven guitar solos inspired by the late Randy Rhoads, and the sick keyboard effects, the band takes you on a rock Odyssey. You can check out the touching video for “Joy” the power ballad title track off the new album on the band’s YouTube page. They say the name HopeN’Liberty—expressing faith and optimism—was chosen for contrast to the band’s raging, and at times dark power rock sound, and it looks like they do a good job. “Joy” is the perfect example of how the band embodies this contrast. If you’re looking for even harder rocking pieces, check out tracks like “Jack Loneliness”. There you definitely hear the Ozzy influence. The album was recorded at 40 Sound outside of Padua. The current line up of HopeN’Liberty includes singer, composer and producer Stefano Giorio, keyboardist and composer Marco Orlando, drummer Attilio Nin, solo and rhythm guitarist Mario Masenello, and bassist Stefano Masiero. Shortly after the band released Odyssey, they followed it up with a surprise EP entitled Crude Diamonds, including a previously unreleased track, plus acoustic versions of some of the best songs off the last album. And on top of that release, they’ve still found time to gig extensively in the Padua area, and work on new material for an upcoming album, due out in spring of 2014. They just put on a killer live set at The Factory in Padua for the first step on Emergenza Festival Italia. Stay tuned to Emergenza.net for more news on the HopeN'Liberty.
