Since their formation back in 2004 Mantua band Sinezamia has seen tons of action. Now the band’s mission to spread new wave and metal inspired hard rock tunes into the Italian language is starting to gain ground. After the band’s first two self-produced EP’s Sacralita’ (2009) and Fronde (2007) and a string of concert dates throughout Northern Italy, the band laid down their very first full-length album, La Fuga (The Escape). The release of this eight-track, entirely self-produced album ushers in a new era and a new sound for the band, where they allude to their new wave influences, twisting them into a dramatic, ghoulish, take on hard rock. Lots of echo effects, spacey drums, and synth round out their otherwise punky 80’s underground sound. A totally solid release. As they stand now Sinezamia are: Marco Grazzi on vocals, Carlo Enrico Scaietta on keyboard, Marco Beccari on bass Federico Bonazzoli on guitar, and Stefano Morbini on drums. They’ve just released a brand new single “Senza Fiato” which showcases how their sound is developing. Vocal layering and harmony start to take the forefront, adding more structure to the melodies. And there’s more shredding than ever, rocketing the band away from their earlier new wave influences. Super dynamic. Sinezamia has been touring all around Italy this year, including showcasing at the Czech Festival Masters of Rock performing alongside bands like The Exploited, Lordi, The 69 Eyes, and Dragonforce, and they just rocked the stage at Latte + in Brescia for round one of Emergenza Festival Italia. Check back in at Emergenza.net to hear if they've made it to the semifinals.
