Smashing onto the Scene with Taste Hematic Chains

Taste Hematic Chains from Brescia smash onto the deathcore/metalcore scene with their debut, full-length release entitled 'Amigdala'

The acronym for five-piece hardcore band THC gives a nod to the fact that, well, let’s just say these guys aren’t straight edge. But the band’s full name Taste Hematic Chains, chosen to evoke images of blood, feelings of carnal desire, and the raw edge of metal, gives a real sense of what they do: ear-blitzing deathcore meets metalcore. During the promotion of their debut, five-song EP Communications from Elsewhere, a collaboration was born between the band and Media Factory Studios outside of Brescia, and work began on their first full-length album Amigdala, recorded and mixed by Fabrizio Romans and released in December 2013. The studio production included the filming of the video for the third track on the album "Animal Inside", which proves the band is much more playful than all that growling might give off. In the video the inner animals of five average guys are unleashed, transforming their subdued life of gaming and sugar highs into a fiery deathcore rage. You can stream it here on YouTube. It’s an excellent pick for the first single on the album. With its spooky intro and bone-chillingly primal screaming, this song definitely evokes its title “Animal Inside”. Another stand out song is their totally insane cover of “This is Halloween” off of the soundtrack for The Nightmare Before Christmas. THC are Davide on vocals, Riky and Mauricio on guitar, Andrea on bass, and Animal on the drums. If you want to get your face rocked off, go check them out live for the semifinals of Emergenza Festival Italia at Latte + in Brescia and stay tuned for more news on Emergenza.net.
