Rocking New Release from Milan Band EVENGERS

You never knew you could pogo until you pressed play on 'Four' the latest release from Milan based band EVENGERS

After listening to the latest release from Milan based band Evengers, you may be shocked to hear that all four components in the band are between the ages of 15 to 16. Entitled Four to honor their recently changed line up, the album includes drummer Nicholas Benetton, guitarist and vocalist Nicolò Gaspari, bassist Emanuele Coppo, and guitarist Davide Zanini, who all play like 10 years their seniors—not to mention some of their major influences are pretty dated in comparison to what most kids their age are listening to these days. Old-school punk rhythm is the key to their sound, so it’s no surprise at all that the Evengers liken themselves to bands like The Ramones. The kind of rhythmic approach that bands of that era, including the addition of the classic punk-rock oh oh oh’s in the back up vocals like in their song “Illusions”, is definitely key to the sound of the Evengers. And they’ve got fat bass, crunchy guitar, and insanely catchy melodies to back it up. The standout song on the album is definitely the opening track “You Said”, whose high-energy groove and earworm chorus is totally infectious. Back in March they rocked the songs off 'Four' on stage at The Speakeasy in Milan for Emergenza Festival Italia and swiped second place. Stay tuned to Emergenza.net for more details on their upcoming semifinal gig.
