BROOKLYN SEMI-FINALS WRAPPED UP
AT THE HOOK
This past weekend was the last round of semi finals at The Hook. Even though we are all excited to have the Brookln final, we are sad to leave The Hook. What a fantastic venue. A great staff and awesome sound system make The Hook NYC’s best kept secret.
Friday, June 1st
Seven Second Delay started Friday evening out the right way. With in your face rock music. These guys belted out some really great tunes.
When Distance Fails took the stage next and rocked the house.
Grey Garden finished up with some obscure but very original electronic-rock. Great stuff fellas.
Saturday, June 2nd
BR and Timebomb started Saturday night out and played a tight set to tons of their enthusiastic fans. Its always a fun night when BR and Timebomb are in the house.
Profisi Culcha took the reigns next and put on an electrifying set of reggae-rock. These guys know how to get a crowd dancing.
Push for Coin fired up the crowd next with their loud rock tunes and tight musicianship.
To Each His Own Element took the stage next and played some of their great trancy rock tunes. Very good band.
Heavy Weather played next and blew away everybody. What a tight and musically talented band these guys are.
Wake Up O Sleeper played last to end the evening and surprised everyone. These youngsters played some good old folk tunes with some fresh flare.
