SAN FRANCISCO'S FIRST ROUND OF SEMI-FINAL SHOWS
LAUNCHES INTO FLIGHT AT 12 GALAXIES
The time has finally come for the semi-final shows at 12 Galaxies. Located on the famous Mission Street in San Francisco, 12 Galaxies hosted a weekend of great live music for the Emergenza Music Festival. With a great sounding stage and friendly staff, 12 Galaxies is the place to be.
Thursday started the weekend out with ISix starting the show. These dudes made for a great example of the music that was to follow; they had everybody going nuts.
Evolution Eden took the stage next and got the crowd fired up. These veteran rockers showed all the green-horns how its done.
Ruby Sparking Chambers performed their interesting version of electronic rock to crazy visual images projected on the screen behind them. Definitely an entertaining show to say the least.
Disasteroid played next and had everybody feeling good. They had some great rockin’ tunes and an eccentric style all their own.
Culann’s Hounds took the stage next and gave us something we at Emergenza rarely see: authentic Irish folk songs. Good vibes were felt by all in the club during their set.
Hell69 finished up the night with their own version of goth metal. An entertaining live show to say the least.
Friday night picked up where Thursday night left off and continued rockin’ 12 Galaxies. Throckmorton started out and set the standard pretty high for the rest of the night. These youngsters had some great talent.
The Seventh Season played next and just totally rocked out. This father-son duo had everyone’s attention with great riffs and vocal performances.
The Trash Musical took the stage next and delivered the goods. This band had some great catchy rock tunes.
Ziazan the band presently known as The Thieves Hymn played next and serenaded the audience with great heart felt tunes.
Doc Freud changed things up a bit and took the night in a hard rock direction. The audience response was great for these experienced rockers.
Nobody said dammit when Dammit! took the stage. These guys ripped through their hard edge set effortlessly and the crowd loved it.
Black of Mind played next and let the crowd know that young kids can rock just as hard as the older dudes. Very impressive skills from this band.
Colma finished up the night with a bang… a head bang that is. These guys were heavy as hell. Nice job everybody.
Saturday night was another hard edged rock night and that was evident when Trust took the stage to start the evening and showed us all how it is done. They rocked the place hard.
Beneath the Iron Heel played next and continued the hard-rock vibe that night. Very Impressive job by these youngsters.
The Levee played next. With unique instruments and great melodies, these guys are on their way to do some great things.
A Place to Call Home was next on stage. These fellas had a unique style of rock all their own. Very nice job boys!
Dirty Orange Sun had the place going nuts with their nu-grunge style and powerful stage presence. A great audience response was received by the Irish lads. Zootzilla changed the style a bit and funked everybody up. What a great funk band these bay area guys and gal are.
Roase played next and belted out some great fresh rock tunes. Catchy riffs and great vocals made for a great set of live music.
Hot Farm finished up the night and left off where Roase did. Even more great songs came from these guys.
You would have thought it was Cinco de Mayo this night with all the awesome Spanish rock flavor going on. The night turned out to be a complete dance party. What a great time we all had. Sunday night started out with the lovely Amaya and their awesome latin flavored songs. What a great bunch of musicians in that band.
James Caran took the stage next and played some really great soulful and blu
