ELIMINATION ROUND IS SET IN NY MANHATTAN!
Manhattan wrapped up its quarterfinals this weekend, at The Bitter End.
Grrrl Friend was first to take the stage, and they just tore through their set, with a great lead guitarist who just ripped it up.
Silence The Feedback followed them, and again this lead guitarist was awesome. He just played like there was no tomorrow and blew everyone away. They had a great sound all around.
The Riffsurfers were next, and these guys were strait up Rock and Roll. They had really cool guitar solos and a cool sound.
Dellacane was next to take the stage and this trio rocked the house.
They had a really cool fun sound that got the whole place grooving with every lick.
N.A.S.H. followed, and kept the energy alive with their cool compositions, high energy and hard rock. All this despite the fact that the bassist''s guitar hinge for his strap broke and he had to play with it sitting on the floor for most of the set. He got back at it though, after the set by smashing it to pieces on the stage. Classic.
Sympathy for my Vengeance took the stage next and played a truly great set. They had great rifts accompanied by great vocals and everyone was just having a great time.
ElasticSoul was next, and this night just turned out to be one with some really great guitarists. This guy picked the hell out of tunes such as Voodoo Child and All Along the Watchtower.
Bo Quiver and the Arrows finished up the night with their catchy and great strait up rock songs. Accompanied by keys these guys just had a really cool all around sound.
Before We Fade started us off with their unique style of hardcore metal. These young kids in high school destroyed their set with passion and power.
Almost There followed them, and changed the pace a bit with their mellow rock and fun stage presence. Dressed in suits and ties these guys just put on a fun and awesome show.
The Hey! took the stage next and, belted through a fun and funny set.
These guys just had so much fun up there on stage you could tell there was nowhere else that they wanted to be.
Flavor of the Sun came next. And they blew through their set with their fast and energetic front man leading them on. At this point everyone was having fun.
Streetlights took the stage after them, and with a slight resemblance in sound to Coldplay these guys rocked the stage with melodic sounds and well composed songs.
Special guest Julius C was back and to join us and just got the whole place rockin'' with their own blend of funk and rock. By the end of their set no one was sitting.
Downfire was next, and just blew the stage up with their hard rock and metal licks.
Closed till Dark finished the night up with their mellow songs and cool acoustic rifts. This lead singer had such a great voice it was a pleasant way to round off the night.
