Quarters at The Reverb
Toronto got the warm weather and Emergenza got a few cool bands this weekend for the last weekend of quarter-final performances. The resident observer had this to say.

The east coast spawns all types of talent including indie rockers The Liras sounding a little like their influences Sloan and Thrush Hermit.
The Shady J’s found their stride and niche Thursday playing around with some folk rock and blues.
Brane played the loudest of all and rounded out the top of the night with alterative rock fervor.
Friday at the Reverb and the freaks abound the Emergenza show preceded the all night rave about to take place.
Ironfish began with their medley of classic-rock songs and sweat through some of their own greats to begin.

Omega 3 Fatty Asses dirty rotten punk rockers, played a host of covers peppered with an original or two.
Then came the Doug Trucker Band, Orillia natives bashed through their blues rock set kicking up dust.
Hardcore metal brought to you by Untold Story closed the weekend and wrapped up the quarter finals with not a whimper but a scream.
